The Gospel reformed Western Europe. Why are we not witnessing the transforming impact of the gospel in India? Because no one taught my generation the liberating truth that Pastor Stephen David teaches in this book.

Much like a river forces everything except solid rocks and live fish in the pattern of its flow, culture also tends to work like a conforming force. Culture forces people to conform to its patterns, traditions, customs, and beliefs. But the Bible teaches that Christians like ‘live fish’ (and not like dead fish) should go against the cultural currents and not be conformed to its patterns. Christians are called to think and live counter-culturally.
Casteism is a major force in the Indian culture and it has a powerful conforming influence on the Church as well. But biblical Christians should stand against this force. We must stand for the biblical teaching that all mankind is created with equal dignity and worth as the image-bearers of God the Creator. This is what Stephen David argues for very succinctly, clearly, and in a way, very forcefully with solid biblical-theological basis. This is a must-read book for any Christian who wants to be a true follower of Jesus Christ in the Indian context.
